    Hello,

Just bought my second (1st Gen.) Tacoma. My wife convinced me to sell my last one, a '99 Tacoma while I was deployed in Afghanistan (2007) =-(... (attached are some pictures of my late love)

Now, 5 years later I finally got a 2003 Double Cab 4x4, and I love it. Although it is currently stock (with the exception of the k&n air intake.) I'm trying to get through school before I start up my bad habits again =-) and begin putting money into my daily driver. I currently live in Beltsville, Maryland, going to University of Maryland...

I guess I just really wanted to finally introduce myself and see if there are any local people out here that I can "talk" tacos with...

Oh yeah I almost forgot, are there any bow hunter / Tacoma lovers that live near me? I just picked up bow hunting last year and could use a hunting buddy.

    Hi Arrow,

I am also brand new to the site and just bought my very first Tacoma 4x4, access cab, 4 cylinder, 5 speed, SR5 last night. I originally wanted that V6 Double Cab 6 speed but they all had the TRD package and that was out of my price range. Well, that and it was a lot more truck than I needed.

Also, like you, I'm a Marylander but not a bow hunter (sorry). We live on the Carroll County/Baltimore County line and our neighbors bow hunt as well as some of our friends. It might sound a little nutty but try the Carroll County Gun Club (on RT 26 north of Sykesville and Eldersburg), they might be able to hook you up with someone.

Good luck at Maryland, my brother is also a student there. I love the dogs in the last pic! Part of the reason I bought my truck was for our two- a Lab/Mastiff mix and a Bloodhound. Now when our Bloodhound drools, he can just fling it out the back!

    ADCarter1,

First off, I just want to congratulate you on purchasing your first Tacoma. You are going to love it. The dependability, the amount of aftermarket products available are just some of the few reasons why I always buy toyotas. My first tacoma was a 2.7L 3rzfe and it surpassed my expectations of it daily. I'll stop by the Carroll County Gun Club next weekend. Thanks for that. The dogs are long gone... Currently own an 90lb American Lab. I know what your thinking... at 90lbs, he must be a fatty. Not this one. Just a real big dog. =-)
