hey everyone. I recently bought the wife a black 2010 TRD sport Tacoma. I gave her some seat covers as well but she wants me to upgrade her truck some more. She wants more mods. Personally, i am a ford man myself and aren't too familiar with these funny little japanese cars. Can anyone help me get started with some basic mods she might like?

Maybe not start by insulting the trucks when asking for help.

I apologize to pcledrew. I am just not familiar with the vehicle. Can I install the supercharger in my own garage? How much do those normally run?

No prob bud. I'd say a good tonneau cover and some aftermarket (suggest weathertech) floor mats.

You can start with upgrading to more aggressive off road wheels and tires. Then maybe a lift. Not sure which one? We have tons of info on it, just use the search feature.

    What's this supposed to mean?

Thanks everyone for the quick replys. You all are too kind. I was a meachanic during the 70's but i understand things have gotten a little more complicated with the electronics? Will the shop manual for the supercharger be in english or japanese?

To set the record straight, Tacomas are larger than Ford Rangers, not 'Japanese' in very many respects (aside from being owned by a Japanese company, they are made in North America), and the manuals are all in English, moreso than Japanese since I don't think Tacomas are quite the 'hot seller' in a country like Japan.

Toyota vehicles in general are about as American-made or more than most 'American' car companies.

Clarify with your wife what types of mods she wants - whether they be mechanical improvements (re: supercharged) or superficial (re: interior ambient lighting, leather/heated seats, etc.).

^^ he's right. Toyota, although a Japanese name, is more of an American-made vehicle than your Ford!!!
