    Hi all:

I became the proud father of a 08 access cab SR5 last Saturday. I sold my F-150 and opted for a smaller sleeker truck. I still needed some power, 4 wheel drive and a tow package to haul my 21 foot in and out a couple of times a year (She is in a slip). I also ordered it with the limited slip for extra traction on wet boat ramps.

Only got 130 miles on her so far, but I am liking it so far, just a bit more cramped than my Ford was, but much smoother and quieter.
It's gonna snow Friday here so it will be a good test of the 4X4.

I am registered on toyotanation also. I intend to replace the stock stereo with a nice double DIN head unit and replace all four speakers. NO mods to include giant sub in the rear or amps. Too much for my needs. THe new deck will have bluetooth and Ipod adapters, plus its a DVD player that will come in handy while doing 70 through town ! (just kidding). Anyway so far so good , I'm getting lots of good info from the site and the DIY stuff is just what I want.

Going to pick up the truck now, I had the remote start and alarm installed today. I had that in my F-150 and loved it so its a no brainer.

As I learn more I hope to be able to post and help others like I've been helped.

    Later.

welcome to TW, sounds like you are well on your way to becoming one of "us". I came from a big truck and it did take a while to get used to it.

    POWER -----
21' Proline WA powered with a 175 Evinrude Ficht.
40 mph on the water feels great....I am big into game fishing. I have my USCG charter captain license so I do a bit of chartering.

Tuna, Bass, Blues, Shark Loads of fun, but summers are too short here up north....

My audio system will wait until its warmer up here, but I will buy everything I need prior, to hit the ground running. I will post install stuff, but I learned a lot about speaker install already from this site. Great info....
