Been lurking for a while and commenting on a few things here and there.

We bought a used 2007 Silver Double cab, Short bed, TRD Offroad PreRunner. Got it from a dealership in CA, we live in CO and had it shipped. About 40K miles. We wanted a smaller truck with good gas mileage to seat our family. It will be the wife's daily driver, less than 10 per day. Pics will be up this weekend.

    Observations
Really nice truck. Like the exterior style and the wife really likes the color (her choice). Interior has good fit and finish, lots of plastic but what vehicle does not these days. Trade off gas mileage vs weight.
Doors sound a little tinny on closing but I just need to get used to it or add some soundproofing.
The 6 cyl has good power and is smooth, wife really likes the auto tranny and thinks it is also smooth. Went through first tank of gas, low fuel light came on and put 17.2 gallons in at 355 miles, so 20.6 MPG. That is with me driving my daily commute of 30 miles mixed 60/40 hwy/city.
Steering is real tight, no slop at all.
Still not sure about the composite bed but I am old school and from what I've read here it seems to hold up. Like the rail ties downs for light duty use.
First mod was the anti-tailgate theft hose clamp.

    Questions
Are the gauge lights supposed to be on all the time? I did not see, or missed it in the manual (yes I read the manual).
I am missing the small bed storage door. The dealership wants $40 for a new one . Any other venues?
I missed the opportunity for the leaf spring TSB. Any other options that are not too expensive?

    Thanks for reading and replying.

you can turn off the guage lights with your day time running lights. if your DTRL are on then your gauge lights will be on.
as far as the leaf TSB, look into an AAL. it will lift the rear about an inch but also increase your payload a little.

they also make an air lift kit that you can adjust for however much weight you have in the bed. and it wont affect your unloaded ride quality
