    Hi All,

Well I bought my first Tacoma ever yesterday, but by no means my first Toyota.

    Quad Cab 4x2 TRD package.

I was wondering what should I expect? Any things to look out for or "must does" right off the back?

What kind of gas mileage do people get out of these in the 'real world'?

Thanks all! Looks like a great forum!

    Jeff

You can expect about 18-19 MPG in town, and (if you drive conservatively) you can expect up to 22 MPG on the highway.

Other than that, there really isn't much to look out for. Just pay close attention to your truck, and if something bothers you - ask your dealer to look at it. If you think something is wrong - take it in. This way if it is a recurring problem, they have a log of it, and it will get fixed under warranty.

    Cheers! and Congrats!

Welcome to the taco family. on the quad cabs some people in this forum who have the automatic trans have said they experienced a lurching at stops while idling, otherwise they are great.
