I guess I should correct myself. Nobody really "hates" on the TX and TX Pro. My buddies were just giving me crap because they thought I bought the truck only for the TX decal, tube steps and, black wheels. They still know it's a TRD Offroad. I look at this forum and see builds like AzogSS and RJALLDAY702 posted above and think DAMN, now those are some serious builds that can go off road!

Like I mentioned earlier I don't do any serious off road adventures. Back in hometown near Manhattan, KS (GO K-STATE) I'd go fishing at ponds back in the pasture and need some off road capabilities. But now Living in KC, most of my fishing spots have perfect concrete paths right to the water. And my hunting days are far and few between.

thanks for the congrats ya'll. . I love my tacoma

now that I figured out how to post pics, i'll get some more up as soon as possible. gotta work this New Years weekend at the hospital. that was another main reason i needed a 4x4 because i can't really miss work due to bad weather. otherwise, i would have been cool with a Pre Runner. (i'm sure all you pre runner owners will tell me that you can make it anywhere in the snow and bad weather better and some 4x4s.. but i'm not that good of a driver)

Thanks dude! Let me know how u like Orton :p

The Duratracs are GREAT on the road, rain, ice, snow, mud, slush. If u get them you'll enjoy it, they are a little noisy (only a little) in the rain.

Thanks for the compliments :) have fun with ur rig!

finally getting around to some more pictures of the truck. i'll post in the TX owners forum and the tool box mounting forum later also. as you can see, not too many mods with the stock setup. mainly just the window tint and kobalt tool box. i used the Grip Rite system with the Tacoma bed trac to mount the box. I tried to take a few pics and can get more later or answer any questions about it. It took me about an hour to actually figure out how to mount it. But knowing what I know now, i could probably do it again in about 10 min.

man I wish I could put a better suspension on. i don't know much about them yet (just what i've read on TW). but, it makes the taco sit/look so much better. I think I mentioned this in my first post but I've already spent about $600 on the ol truck and STILL havnen't had my first payment.

the wife was a little mad after I did the %20 tint (illegal in KS) and already added a toolbox. and she said "heck no" to buying new tires just because I don't like the BFG's rugged trails. once I save up some money hopefully i can get it looking a little less factory looking.

Nice truck, i love black. I actually bought a black 2012, but the dealership fucked up the paint during the final detail. 4 trips later and i had a brand new white one.

Enjoy your truck. I've had more than a few tacomas and none of them have ever let me down.

same here. i had just put new brakes on my Ford Ranger and planned on keeping it for many more years hoping to save up for a new Tacoma. But when I found a TX edition for the right price and trade in I couldn't pass.

just ordered the tuffy box storage. it was $179 (expensive) but i think it'll be nice to have locked storage in the bed compartment. I KNOW... THREAD WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS! Well, I just ordered it.. pics to come. it's not to exciting and everyone has seen the pics installed on other tacomas. just giving a heads up

Edit: added the tuffy box and forgot about adding pics
