Ok, I thought I read somewhere someone saying you oughta use the double electrode plug from toyota, from my experience NGK is a good plug. What is the plug gap for a 2.7L?

NO, NEVER use a double electrode plug in these trucks. Its all kinds of no good and it'll run like shit. I know the gap is .39-.43 for the V6's, the gap for your 2.7L should say in your manual?? Not 100% on the 2.7's

Yeah I read that link earlier, thanks!

Should I go ahead and do the fuel filter and cabin filter as well?

Trying to do a tuneup weekend-weekend-weekend to keep me busy and playing :)

Changed the plugs/wire and F/R differential oil along with transfer case oil and greased the (5) zerks I found on the driveshaft. Used valvoline 75-90wt gl-5 synthetic. 5 qts roughly. Unsure if I want to flush (dealer) or drain/refill (myself) or leave the old fluid in the transmissinon(automatic). Now im going to bed, im tired (nigthshift). Really want to wheel agaain this weekend :) :)

bassman you interested in doing some light wheelin' over the 3 day weekend? (very light)

Ordred some weathertec black mats was torn between grey and black, went with black.

Still need to flush/drain trans, clean headlights, clean interior (upholstery) possibly look into lifting 1-2" (while retaining the 31's) and clean the funk off the stock wheels.

Ordered some weathertech mats @ $100 shipped from amazon. Just got done draining/flushing my trans went with some orielly global (thought it was toyota import, but after I read the back it was fit everything stuff..) anyway bought 5 qts used about 3.5 maybe a TAD low but will let it settle over night and drive a few miles. Also lubed the front driveshaft (missed it when it was on the lift the 1st time).

Plans are to drop the pan and replace filter/fluid when I get ready for a engine oil change.

ATF looked similar to dirty engine oil (yikes) Looks pretty red now :) Will keep everyone tuned on the myth dont change dark ATF (changed dads tundra @ 160k) no problems yet :)

m3bassman, yall doin any wheelin any time in the near future/spring?
