I would like to help organize a meet. From reading the other thread I vote for a meet in the Austin area. Does not have to be in Austin just using that as a refrence for that part of the state.

I would be down for just about anything. There are alot of scenic places in the hill country and I am sure we can find a nice place to have a cookout and or campout.
I want to also see about interest in a trip to tube the Guadalupe River.
I am throwing a weekend out and say August 2nd and and 3rd. This would allow enough time to set everything up and for people to adjust schedules.

Please chime in and let me know what you think.

    ****EDIT****
I was talking to the wife and I have a wedding to attend that Saturday and its out of town. I think I would be able to make it for a meet August 9th and 10th. There are several state parks we could camp at in the Austin area. We could meet for lunch at Louie Mueller BBQ in Taylor, TX and then go from there to a park. Would anyone want to float the river?
For everyone in the Dallas area we could meet somewhere in the southern part of the metroplex and get a caravan together.

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
If I have a Tacoma by then, I'd be interested.

I am planning on being in Austin for the Heat Wave as well but I might have to work. I should find out next week.

I just had a new idea. We could all meet in Shiner and take a a tour of the Spotzel Brewery. I have been wanting to go for a while and we could drink beer during the tour.

Sounds like about August 2/3. Sometime before school starts, at least.

I would like Shiner but my motorcycle group meets here a couple of times a year as it is just plain good.
Though its too close to me for camping I could drive over for a lunch ?

Here is a more exact plan of action.
We could meet in Taylor at Louie Mueller BBQ at noon on Saturday the 9th for lunch and then head just west of Austin to Pedernales Falls State Park and camp for the evening. I have never been to the park but it looks pretty cool.
Or we could all meet at the park on Friday evening the 8th and camp for 2 nights.
We could all bring something for dinner and grill up some grub.

For the DFW guys I was thinking we could meet at a gas station on 1187 and 35W and get a caravan together.
Please let me know if this is something everyone wants to do and I can make reservations at the park to make sure we have enough spots to camp.

Hell, anyone want to go to the Salt Lick, while we're west of Austin?
Also is this more of day thing, right?

I can pretty much be flexible as long as I have a week or two in advance to plan. Is there anything solid on a meeting place yet? Kerville does sound enticing as I have never been in that area but I have heard good things about it.
