does anyone know how Pep Boys alignment warranty works? They claim if you hit a pothole or anything happens they will re-align. You can buy 3mo, 1 year or lifetime alignment warranty. My question is...I just did a suspension lift today and am waiting for my new tire package to ship and get here. Could be a while with Corona slowing down operation speed. Not sure if I can get my current wheels aligned and get re-aligned when new tires arrive. Anyone know for sure?

you can literally bring it in whenever you want for an alignment with those packages, during the timeframe specified. There is no limit stated

Took it back and they fixed the steering wheel. Was a very quick process. They let me drive it around to get the perfect angle so all good now.

They lifted the truck up and adjusted something under the front wheels. I think there are some YouTube vids on it.

It seemed very simple took them maybe 5 mins to lift it up and change it each time.

Seems the bouncy feeling is back. I've felt a bounciness that seems to be in the rear of the truck since I got the KO2s. The steering wheel is fine so I think the front is ok.

Maybe I'm just not use to the stiffer ride in a truck since there isn't as much weight in the back causing it to bounce around? Idk just seems some days it's annoyingly bouncy and others it's ok.

Maybe I'm just OCD or annoyed some days and others I'm not lol. It does seem like it's bouncing a lot tho. The water bottle in the middle seems to shake quite a bit and the passenger seat. Steering wheel is completely fine.

Maybe it's just how a truck rides and I'm not used to it.

My Tacoma, having only owned it 2 months, seems to have a stiffer suspension than my previous trucks. Not a bad thing.
What is the tire pressure set at? I Lowered mine to about 34 PSI (factory tires) and the ride is much improved! The dealership had between 36-38PSI.

Gotcha it was at 40 but lowered to 34/35. Others have said that might help but haven't seen any difference.

I've thought about it but don't care for just caring around weight but I'll see.

Have any link to it? I've never heard of it and wouldn't have any idea where to start.

every vehicle ' settles in ' after time ..... miles...... bumps
when ' New ' there is areasonable presumption of correct alignment
not every vehicle will line out on a 2 hour 2 axle alignment

the ONLY time i align or re-align when i install NEW Tyres
or if there is an known issue
    ditch
    pothole
    curb scrape
    etc

done b4 the tyres compromise the alignment

U can wait til nxt time U install new tyres .............as U will see how this current setup is doing
or rotate front to rear & take it in immediately

    good luck

The Tacomas have an inherent bounce in the rear suspension that is largely due to the stock shackle hangers, they are very flexible, and inhibit good ride quality. Installing Archive Garage Hammer hangers will greatly reduce those jitters, make the ride more carlike, and even make corner handling feel more direct and confident, due to Hammer hangers rigid structure. I offer a TW discount and free shipping. Also, Hammer hangers are carefully designed to perfectly align with the leaf springs.

The reason you felt the bounce more when you put KO2s on is likely because the tires are heavier than stock, I bet you upsized as well, and adding unsprung weight to the axle makes the jitters and bounce even worse, because the stock hangers just flex even more.

Yes I want to get these but just worried about
The install. I don’t work on autos that much. I saw you had to do some grinding and drilling and not sure I’m confident enough to
Do that on a new truck. Guess we will see lol.

It is labor intensive getting the rivets out, but nothing like tackling a significant job to get experience and your confidence in your ability up. Or there are shops that can do the install.
There is no way around it, buying thousands in rear shocks will not eliminate the problem, you can't fix the bad foundation with shocks
