new to owning a 4x4

    alright im new to owning a 4x4 and was wondering besides regular vehicle maintenance what do i have to do in order to keep the 4 wheel drive working good in my taco. sorry for the noob question haha

    welcome to tw! you dont have to do anything more with a 4x4 than a 2wd. some guys say you should drive in 4x4 everyonce in a while. but i only use it when i need it

    There are more zerk fitting to worry about. The manual ways drive in 4wd for 10 miles a month. If you do this make sure you don't have to turn if you are on the street because turning in 4wd causes binding and binding breaks parts.

    Mostly stock for now, I have added a cb radio, various cheap mods and I plan on adding aftermarket wheels and other items in the future.
    Don't go too fast when mall crawling, you don't want to break anything. That's what I usually tell new 4x4 owners.

    Yeah, joking aside. Follow the maintenance and above information, and you'll be fine.

    if you are "brand" new to the truck..i would recommend reading the owner's manual. suprisingly enough, there is some pretty good info in there..besides how to use and adjust various knobs and switches.
