    Hey guys,

Just a week ago i joined the Tacoma community and purchased a 2016 Tacoma TRD 4X4 with a few mods already done to it. I did a little research to see what my options were, but came up with nothing.

I looked up this front bumper by N-FAB and saw they only make them for Tacomas up to 2015....

I am wondering if the previous owner just stuck this on there without knowing its for the previous year body style?

what are my options here? Can i modify it to where im able to fit a grille? Am i able to clean it up a little so it doesnt looks so incomplete?

or do i have to sell it and get one that fits the 2016?

    thanks for the help,

Eesh... that looks like quite the hack job. Not an expert but most of the aftermarket bumpers don't require you to cut into the grill. Don't know of any off the top of my head that would fix that.

No offense but it looks as if the previous owner wasn't into detail. Sure looks like he hacked up the front end for a system that doesn't match the mod. I see he even removed the front fender flares too. I guess you have to decide if you're ok with it or try and find a system that fits. You might check with C4 Fabrication. Good luck

Center console divider thingy, rubber bed mat and side steps for the wife.
That was quite the commitment hacking into the front end like that..

    Anyone seen my wallet?
Sell the bumper to a 2nd genner, buy a new grill, bumper and flares. Unless its been wrecked i dont see much more than that needed.

    Ive seen worse

Hopefully the guy didn't mangle up the frame mounts or something putting the other bumper on.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for all the comments, concerns, and of course criticisms. I did get a very big discount on the truck due to the front end. I made sure of that because i knew it was going to take a little work and i was ok with that. the front flares have been put back on so its just the grille and bumper that i need to clean up. I went through the thread that riderred posted and yea....it hurt a little. Like i said i am new and i want to learn so all the knowledge yall can bestow on me is much appreciated.

I did end up buying this one because i got a huge discount on it because the front end work that is needed. it was listed at $32,500 and i got it for $28,500
it only has 15,000 miles on it

It has not been wrecked. i checked into it.

    SOLUTION:

Looks like i will be selling this to a 2nd generation owner and put something else on.
I do like that bumper style. are there any companies out there that make similar bumpers but that will actually fit the 3rd gen body.

thanks again guys! it was a little painful to read but informative and we live and we learn

    -Matt
