idk search for it there or several threads about them getting stolen. and why for better mpg? from what i gather it don’t help much if at all, may make it worse on Tacoma's.

On a full tank I drove 380 miles with the tailgate. And I drove with it down but I forgot to a couple time and it gave me 410 miles to the tank. So it does help a bit.

well it doesnt matter on how many mpg per tank cause that can always changes, depending on how far you push it.

    it depends on the MPG.

    welcome from az!

but since you had the mind set it would work you probably just drove a little big longer.

you need to do the math to figure it out.

myth busters says putting your tailgate down makes you lose mpg

    congrats on new 2011

    tip of the day:
Most car insurance companies offer GAP insurance for 5-15 dollars extra a month on
current policy, or, puchased with loan for $750 financed over the term of the loan.
make the switch and save !! but add it to current insurance before changing the lease /loan agreement and getting your refund
