    Hi guys I lurk your forums all the time...its about time I start an account lol...but anyways got a 96 first gen reg cab 2.4...she's got 311k on there but I'm running into problems...got a great deal but I gues you get what you paid for...long story short had a leak...stripped the crank and she ain't been right since..oh and alternator when out on the freeway last week on my way home from work lol...rebuild?..swap a slightly younger 2rz? Or new truck all together...4door first gen? S runner? X runner? Halp yall!

    I've done a mod or two
    2RZs are dirt cheap, probably easier to find one that's been a in a wreck and swap the engine in. It is a weekend project, very simple swap. Rancho Toy Trucks may be able to track down an engine for you, or maybe you're located near a better yard.

    Thanks speedy tech I'm here in los angeles..called around a few yards found one at a pick a part for less then 5 with core and insurance fees
