    Hey-

I'm in Colorado and just scored a 96 Tacoma Ex. Cab V6 with 297k and some front end elk damage for CHEAP.

I'm planning on selling my 85 Toyota 4x4 pickup to fix up the new rig. I've done a drivetrain swap on this truck, rebuilt the front axle, and SASed an 86 4x4 but this is my first time with a 'newer' Toyota.

So far i've only been at it with a come along, hi lift and hammers straightening things out. No frame or steering damage, so it drives strong and straight up to highway speeds.

    plans are:

-new power steering pump (old one doesn't seem to have been in use for a while...)
-new fan (lost 2 blades to the radiator, which survived!)
    -new timing belt/water pump/etc

new suspension (OME/Alcan maybe? rear springs are both broken)
    new tires (33x9.5 BFG?)
    custom bumper

looking forward to learning a lot...
