    Hey Everyone,

    If anyone does read these...

I have been reading threads and stuff on here for years. Used it to help me with what I wanted to purchase and how I plan to use, modify and maintain my truck.

I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro in Cement. I love it. It is my daily driver and I do not off-road. I am a owner that loves its look yet I do want to do light off-roading. I mainly bought it because of what my hobbies are... Surfing, Golfing, Triathlons and camping.

As for camping, I am in the trendy wave of “Overlanders” but I don’t live in a mountainous or dry west/mid-west area that seems to be the norm. I’m on the east coast beaches of Florida. I deal with soft sand, mud, Hurricanes (and debris from), salt and humidity. This makes researching for the “right” products/materials another main reason for me actually joining and not being a outsider just reading.

I use to have just a Thule Xporter Rack on the bed for my Tepui RTT but wanted a better solution. I really liked the truck owner and YouTube vlogger LastLineOfDefense setup but his rack had some issues and I had some other plans of my use case over his. I went with recently the same cover being a DiamondBack SE and the rack being the 10” ALUMAX Bed Rack. This way I can load gear locked in bed but also slide my surfboard case (and another side-by-side) under the rent and secured with tie-downs to the tonneau cover.

Now I’m on here to get some more insight to a winch I plan to put on a Front Bumper I plan to get.

I already know I want to get the SSO Slimline with 20” light and winch with access holes. My issue is I am only going to use winch in very rare maybe once a year to 5 times a year. More for looks and having it “just-in-case” mentality. That having it rather than wishing you had it when ya need it. That’s why I went 4x4.

Then I plan to put A Prinsu cab rack on top for my first real phase of modifications. See how it rides, functions for my uses and keep track of any issues/improvements I can and should do.

Thanks for reading and feel free to comment with any sort of suggestions. I am open for all advice. If ya dont like any parts of it feel free to rip it apart cause I’m fine with the criticism it may give me alternatives I never thought of.

Welcome friend. Good read for me as I am currently in northern NY but will be moving to the Port St. Lucie area in 18 months. I was thinking rtt but will be instead building a small Offroad camper. Anyway welcome.

Mine is just my daily driver too. She might see a dirt road, here and there, but other than that I just say she is my "Road Princess". Welcome...
