Hello, first off I am new to the forum my name is Brad and I just purchased a 2009 Toyota Tacoma. It was bone stock with 176xxx miles kinda high but from everything that I have read these trucks should last well into 400k+ miles, the truck was always serviced at the Toyota dealer so it seemed to check out pretty well.

I have since purchasing it went ahead and flushed all the fluids (trans, motor, diff, t-case fluid), also went ahead and leveled it with a blisten level strut and put some new tires and wheels on it. I also put a cheaper aftermarket deck in it because the prier owner put a system in it then went back to stock to sell the truck but never put the stock amp back so it didn't work without the amp.

My questions that I have is this truck when I purchased it didn't have the tpms sensor in the tires and Im not on to worry about having them because I pay pretty close attention to my trucks anyway is there anyway I can remove the light on in the dash without having to purchase new sensor and installing them in the tire ?

    Welcome.

You can pull the dash apart and remove the bulb or put electric tape behind the area that lights up. I'm not aware of a fuse you can pull or a wire you can cut, and I don't think (but am not sure) the dealers will, or can, deactivate the system because it's considered part of their glory to God safety system. Some people go so far as put all the sensors in a little wheelbarrow tires inflated to 29psi and hide that under the truck.

Post a pic of your truck before you catch shit for it. You said "diff" not "diffs". You got a 2wd there?

Check out the tips mods and more thread that is stickied in the 2nd gen section. Lots of ideas there and remedies to common problems. Watch for your front diff needle bearing to fail now that you're lifted.

Kind of a rumbling noise / feeling usually between 20-40 mph. Goes away when put into 4wd.

Yeah I'd call it a pulsating hum that you feel as much as you hear. It's timing doesn't coincide with any moving or rotating part and can't be anything else. Like said above, when you switch it to 4wd the sound goes away instantly. If you ever start to notice that sound just switch into 4wd on a straight stretch and see if it goes away.
