So, I recently replaced both the rear wheel bearings on my Taco (2010, double cab, TRD off-road). It has about 96,000 miles but the bearings were getting rather noisy, so I opted to replace them. Lots of struggles and cursing, but I eventually got it back together and it rides smooth & quiet now. Annddd that's about where the good news stops... In addition to having issues bleeding the brakes, my dashboard decided to light up like a Christmas tree. All of the warning lights came on and the speedo, tac and eveything else stopped working altogether. Is it possible that the rear wheel speed sensors were put back in wrong? I know that clearly I've made a mistake somewhere, I just don't know where. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks in advance fellas!

Do you have a scanner to read codes?

Is it possible it was reassembled incorrectly? Tone ring in the wrong location.

    Geez, I hope that's not it....:fingerscrossed:

This may not be incredibly accurate (for reasons I may have to explain later) but it's a current readout of codes I had/have.

I think you need to check those sensors again

I appreciate the advice! Do you think it would matter if they were off 180 degrees from each other? There's only 4 positions it can be installed (up, down, left, right), and I think one of them is left (or facing the front of the truck), the other is right (facing the rear).

On my 06, there's only one bolt holding each sensor in place. Yours being '10 I can't imagine they changed it.

I'd start following the wires back from the wheels to where they connect. Pull a sensor to make sure it isn't broken.

Did you pull the axles before pulling the sensors, or vis a versa?

I dunno.... Just throwing things out there...

Pulled off the brake lines, then the sensors to be able to get the axle out. I'll check out the cables to make sure they weren't damaged or something. Where would be a good place to find Toyota diagrams/manuals for this?

The sensors are on the fragile side.
I'd pop them out again and make sure they're not cracked or anything.

When you did this, I assume you had both wheels off the ground, and used jack stands. We're the jack stands supporting the axle, or the frame? If the axle dropped all the way down, it may have been to far for the sensor wiring.

Again, just throwing it out there.

Hmmm, good thought! I found this thread too. Similar sounding problems to mine. I'll be looking at the cabling and sensors tonight to see if I can find any noticeable damage or debris.
