    Full disclosure -- I don't own a Tacoma ... yet.

I've had three Jeeps: a 1998 XJ (Cherokee) that I drove for 320 k miles, then sold to a friend for his son to go to college. Four years later and were all still friends. I replaced it with a 2012 JK that I liked for maybe 25 k miles. Sold it wholesale at 50 k. I couldn't count on it to get me home, and high oil consumption. Meanwhile I bought a 1989 YJ, 2.5 l, 5-sp that is great. Fixed it up and tricked it out -- bedlined the interior in light tan / Jeep Spice color Monstaliner, new seats, 2" lift, 31's. Bikini top and usually no doors.

But I need a long-distance vehicle that can carry camping gear, tools, etc. Looking at a new 4-door TRD.

If y'all don't mind too much I'll just lurk unless I have a question, OK?

    Thank you.
Looking at new. Around here at least, everything with < 50 k miles is withing spitting distance of new. And I don't get tired of good vehicles -- I know where everything is and what it sounds like when something is wrong.
May wait for the '17's. Looking at 4Runners too.
