Damn this entire area seems to be under development. I'm hoping to get out of here in a couple years and move into the country a bit. Can't stand not having a yard.

Amen to that. We found a place with a little over half an acre, so I think that’ll work for a few years.

You ever go to Cle Elum?

Cool little town but man, is it sure busy on holiday weekends..

I drove through it this morning on the way up to fortune creek. Didn't get to see much of it.

Only tricky part about finding land is finding one in a decent school district. I've got a toddler so I need to plan for that. If you have any suggestions I'm all ears.

Welcome to the NW. I live in Issaquah, and you guys are spot on, the traffic is horrendous, we moved here 22 years ago from NY, it has changed so much, wouldn't recommend to anyone to move there. We also go up to the North Bend area all the time, visit the Elk, and get away from it somewhat :) Nice easy trails are off of exit 62, Stampede Pass, like it up there!!

I haven't even been in the big Izzie for long but that entire highlands area was nothing before right. It just sprang up over night.

Heres a link to directions to Fortune Creek/Gallaher Head Lake. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/47....b3b9e060b1cef!2m2!1d-120.9782159!2d47.4427981. There are two routes up there off of NF4330. You can either take NF160 (supposedly smoother) or NF621 (turns into NF627 then into Lower 4W301 - more fun). We couldn't get past the point where Lower 4W301 and NF160 merge together again.

Either a house or empty land. The land is the thing I'm looking for. It'd be nice to have at least an acre.

I've heard this Stampede Pass mentioned several times. Any specific roads or trails you recommend up there?

@ysbohle - thanks for the directions.. I’m def gonna have to go check this out. Especially before too much snow.

Ya.. land seems to be getting harder and harder to come by these days. Everyone around here has huge gobs of $$$ and buys up every piece of decent land.

Good luck with that. I heard it was snowing up there today. Planning to go tubing in Snoqualmie Pass tomorrow with the toddler. Right, I guess I'll have to wait for the 'move to Washington' trend to end before buying.

    Nice truck btw.

Yea the pass def got some good snow, was closed for a few hours yesterday due to multiple spin outs lol. Some people, I swear.

Haha yup you nailed that. Cle Elum is nice if you can find some land. And not too far from civilization.

    Hey same to you:cheers:

Damn, so I guess Washingtonites can't drive much better in the snow then Texans. Last time it snowed in Houston they had to issue a government recommended city wide shutdown. It was pretty entertaining. I'll have to check out Cle Elum.

Nice! What trails are you planning to run up? I'd like to try and find a few to do before the snow gets too deep. I'll have to upgrade my rig for next year. The stock tires and suspension don't get me very far..

That looks so clean! Is that stock suspension? If not, what kind of lift and kit? I just picked up my first Tacoma (2017 TRD OR) and it seems a little on the low side. Or maybe the fact that I have running boards makes it seem lower... Anyways, pretty new to all this so sorry if it's a dumb question, have a lot to learn

    Thanks!

Ya I’m sure your running boards make it look lower :/

That is stock OR wheels and tires w Bilstein 5100 front on 3rd notch and a 5100 rear w toytec 1.5” block.
