I'm pretty set on the white too. Hopefully will look at the taco today. Thanks for the help swaying me back to the tacoma.

i would imagine if you "need" a work truck a tacoma is not going to cut it,

the fx4 f150 is a good as choice, as is the f250,

the raptor is more of a toy with a sacrifice in payload and hauling ability..

Fit was on my list before I bought the Tacoma. Glad I went with Tacoma when I see my bumper at about head level when I am near a Fit.

Get a Power Wagon and call it done (I am familiar with the area you are running in). If that is not your cup of tea then my second choice would be a Ford Ecoboost. I love my Taco but the beds are just too small for commercial work unless you ONLY have small loads.

Don't know why you are asking "TacomaWorld" if you should buy a Tacoma or an F150.. Seems kind of pointless.

My dad has the new four door raptor. That thing is insane. He got the frame fix kit from SDHQ. Raptor haters can suck it

I think you meant to say this but technically, you're not saving 100%. You're writing off 100% which reduces your taxable income. That means your savings will be whatever your tax is after the deduction as compared with before the deduction.

So if your tax rate was 35%, on a $50K truck you'd save $17,500 in taxes. The business is still spending $32,500 for that truck.

We're not haters, we are realists. Who the hell wants to spend that kind of money on a truck like that , and then have the frame bend? If they are gonna show it doing jumps in the commercials, it damn well better work right when I do it too.

I read all 4 pages, but still can't over the part in your post about spending $5k to make the taco as 'capable' as a raptor or FX4.

Are you kidding? Off the lot a tacoma with TRD OR is MORE capabale offroad than both of those 6 thousand pound bohemoths.

But back to your original question, if you need a full size, get the FX4. Stay away from the Raptor.

raptors are really not practical unless your going to the desert like every weekend. FX4 eco boost ftw.

Never knew about the frame bending issues on the raptor until now. Just read as few pages on their forums. Crazy stuff!!
