Been lurking for awhile. Picked up an '02 PreRunner SR5 w/44K miles for $13,500. Put new tires (Michelin LTX MS/2...265/75/16), new tonneau cover, JVC KW-XR810 stereo with Polk DXI 6500 separates up front and Polk DXI 570 5x7s in rear. Goes tomorrow to get the bed and rear wheel wells Linexed.

Whaddaya think of the price payed and suggestions for future mods?

Nice! Welcome! I just got a 2001 4x4 sr5 with 68k with a rebuilt title for 11000. So I'd say you got a pretty fair price. Post some pics.

Alright, I think I figured out the pic upload. How do you get the pic actually in the message instead of a link?

Looks good for the price. Assuming you don't do much off-roading (based on your tire choice), I would say performance mods first. Don't make a lifted mall-crawler.

No real off roading. 95% road and highway with the occasional dirt or fire road. However, the rear leafs are saggy and I want to go ahead and upgrade while I am at it. Nothing wrong with a nice looking lifted truck at the mall!! Seriously, I am just looking at leveling the front end, getting 1 1/2 - 2 inches of lift and helping the ride and suspension performance. Right now it's kinda skittish over rough pavement.

Definitely sounds like a good leaf pack and a decent shock setup for up front. That will keep it riding decent and it won't look socal-bro style.

I've also noticed that I see very few trucks with wheels like mine. Any idea what is up with that?

Are those toyota rims? Might be off a 4Runner. They are not stock for your '02.

Yes, they are Toyota. I just don't know what type. I like them better than the stock rims and am thinking of painting them black.

I was at the dealer yesterday. Parts guy said they are ENKEI rims and that they came as a port installed option. Case closed.

How do you like the Polk DXi speakers? I am researching them for my 2010, but it doesn't look like they fit in the rear of mine.

Very happy. Can get better stuff for obviously more money but the Dxis seem to fall in a sweet spot of good quality but not stupid money.
