Took the wife's Lexus to the local Toyota dealership where I purchased my Tacoma new to get the oil changed yesterday. While wondering around the showroom I ran across this, a new 2017 Tundra Pro. Nice truck, Leather with all the options. What I can't seem to get over is the color. Now I try to be open minded and to each his own. I didn't look at the color code but I think it's Cement or similar. And I'm not trying to dis anyone's color choice. But I would think for $50,000 Toyota could come up with a better color than what appears to be "clear coated primer".

Can't tell if trolling or is oblivious to the fact that Taco Pros come in this color as well....

Hey, Eddie, I don't know if you noticed or not, but that's not the only color the TRD Pro comes in. Granted, according to their website it only comes in three colors, still...

Like you said, to each his on, so what difference does it make? I know Audi has had the color for several years, so I guess someone likes it.

No metal flake. I did notice like some other colors that Orange peel is a little more obvious. You can see it in the reflections over the rear wheel.

There is a metallic tint to the color in the sun, has almost a blue tint when it is overcast. Personally love the Cement color, but definitely is unorthodox and to each his own. I had a 2016 Tacoma in Quicksand and not everyone was a fan but some people loved the color, kind of like the Cement. Especially since if you see the Cement color you know it is a Pro model, either Tacoma, Tundra, or 4Runner, almost get the nostalgia of it being a Pro and in Cement, but hey thats just my 2 cents.

That is not true. A friend of mine has a Tundra Crewmax TRD Pro in the cement color. When you see it out in the sunlight you can see a blueish metal flake to the paint. I wasn't really a fan of it (like the OP said, shinny primer) but after seeing it in person upclose it is really pretty cool

Have yet to see one in person, but if I had know about it and could get over the extra $$$$, I would have ordered one without seeing it.

When I 1st saw the Quicksand on a Tacoma a year or 2 back I hated it. I thought to myself, what man in his right mind would buy a truck in "Nude" make-up or shoe color.(maybe I know too much about my wife's stuff) But after seeing it for a while it has grown on me. I was actually thinking of trading a few weeks back a Quicksand was at the top of my list.

Yeah i loved the Quicksand, that is the only color i wanted at first, some people hated on it and some people loved it, almost like a military color or something. I work at another brand car dealership as a Service Advisor and as soon as i sold it my GM was telling me how he hated that baby poop brown truck i had and that the Cement was much better!! Lol hey atleast he waited to bash it until it was gone i guess.

The Quicksand is interesting and the military in me likes it. So who's gonna come out with flat on a new vehicle?

The Cement is my favorite Yoda color

It may be true in the sunlight but inside under the fluorescent lights. I didn't see a trace of metallic.

That cement color is awesome. It is a non metallic color, but is pearlized over it. That's why it changes color in sunlight. Looks really awesome in person.
