    This is only to be branded a vendor, correct? So small people still can sell their keychains, but won't be branded. Therefore it'll actually take some proof to become a tagged member.

    Have you considered requiring state registrations as well?

    Correct, just to get the branding (if they reach the point where we decide to make them an "official vendor").

    The open bst market has so far worked well, with bad actors few and far between. We'd like to keep it that way so we're adding the extra stuff like itrader for that. Those won't need business license verification

    In California we collect taxes from anything we sell in California.
    At the beginning of the year we have 30 days to pay what we collected in taxes from the previous year.
    If we don't pay the city won't let us renew our license which is $49 I believe.

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    That's just the license in my city it's 95 a year for the license my business has close to a $15,000 dollar a month operating cost the license is the least of my worries when it comes to cost. From rent ,wages ,workman's comp ,liability insurance there is a lot of costs!

    Corporate taxes are low in Canada , we're lucky that way .

    I don't worry about license fee at all, that's minor stuff.
    Paying California taxes at the beginning of the year is a pain, need to have the amount ready.
