I just bought a used set of 16" wheels that were on a set of Wild Country Radial TXR (32x11.5R15). I had the wheels put onto the tires I already had on my truck, Michelin LTX A/T (31x10.5R15), because the 32's rubbed too much up front. I still rub a little near full lock with the 31's and new-to-me wheels because the backspacing is different (sticks out more).

Well this morning on my drive to work, on the freeway, I noticed that at about 60-70 mph my truck would shake violently and it sort of felt like it was coming from the front mostly. The tire shop that mounted em did the balancing as well. I also noticed that they put air in my tires to 40psi (is this too high?).

Anyone know what the problem could be? :notsure: I figure I'd ask TW before calling the tire shop.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Sounds like they need re-balanced. One of them is probably off.

This should be something the shop should do free of charge, correct? Especially since they were just mounted yesterday. You think?

I would think so. Could be that a weight fell off. Unless one of the lugs is loose. *gasp!*

or one of the wheels are bent, also check the tires again..there could be a 'hop' on the tread

Did you get hub centric wheels? If not, how about the hub spacers to make them fit like they were hub centric? Correct conical lug nuts?

At the shop now, looks like he's making a bunch of corrections with the balancing. Lug nuts are correct. Hoping that it's just misbalanced.

Thanks for all the advice folks! :D The drive is better now, although there is still some vibe but it feels almost how it did before the wheel/tire change.
