    Not sure if like.

I like the throaty tone, but something just isn't "there".
Likely because it's a 2.7 and maybe it doesn't get any better than that.

Do you think a Doug Thorley header will give it that "oomph"?

    I dunno...

I'm just saying that I'm not sure if there's anything that I would like on my truck.

It definitely does not have the "raspy fart can pissed off go-kart" sound that so many ricers are running, I mean for a 2.7 it sounds good.

I had a Magnaflow on my '94 and it sounded okay... but ya, on a 4-banger nothing is going to sound like a V8 or V-Twin.

The TRD cat-back on my '03 Tundra rocked!

The only thing that will give you oomph with a 2.7L will be to add some more liters to it.

Well I appreciate the feedback. I definetely wanted to avoid a raspy rice rocket exhaust. I think at around 2300-3500 RPM it sounds like a Subaru boxer engine.

O mG when he gave it some gas it seriously sounded like a fart, exhaust sounds like poo..as far as exhausts go, I'm sorry to say none sound good on the tacoma. Plus none have really shown an real performance. Just leave the exhaust alone, if u wanted a boxer engine then you should bought the subaru. Of you should have bought a V8.

^so many spelling errors! i'd keep it on! sounds better than stock IMO, but Kelson has a sick set up that i was thinking about running on my reg cab, then i traded it in lol. i think its a flowmaster 40 2.5 in/out and resonator delete.

On modern Japanese engines, C.A.R.B. legal modifications won't do nothing for power increases. Modifications are only performed for the owners pleasure. I knew this before I replaced the muffler.

How much did the The Truck Shop charge you to weld on your muffler?

I just looked at the Invoice and strangely it said that the total cost was $0.00. If I remember correctly though, it was somewhere in the $100 range.

I think I might be switching to a Magnaflow soon because the Wicked Flow doesn't provide enough sound.

I just ordered a Wicked Flow for my 4.0 and its suppose to be coming in the mail tomorrow. I want to get it installed asap, but I don't have that much money in college. Anyone know any other muffler shops on a budget?
