Any suggestions looking for trails here in Hudson Valley New York area? Just got my 2016 TRD Sport and looking forward to getting the tires a little dirty.

If your nice to the jeep guys you can join in on their expeditions. Unfortunately the state has no land to use since it's all protected and most of the private people only allow jeeps

So in NY you can't go off-roading anywhere at all? Why is the land all 'protected'? That really sucks, in spite of the reasons I hate living in California we at least have many endless trails and OHV parks to wheel on.

No idea but everything is the state owns they won't let you ride anything that will damage the nature. The only thing they allow is snowmobiles but even then there has to be so much snow on the ground before they open the trails so they don't fuck up the ground. You can still ride on the state land but if your caught depending on the cop or DEC officer your prolly gonna get your shit towed lol

Lived there most of my life and all I can say is good luck. Really, you have to join an offroad club because they have access to private land to 4 wheel on. Other than that, you are going to have to move to Colorado like I did. Sorry.

There is a fireroad/ old logging road in the 909 off the Taconic State Parkway at Tyrell Road that is accessible and legal. I don't think it will take more than an hour to complete though.
