    Hello TacomaWorlders,

I'm just bought a 2007 Tacoma Access Cab and I think it's great! I decided to get a base model and make the upgrades myself to save money and learn more about my truck. I really need help as I have no experience. I would like to make the following mods in order of importance

    1) change the seats. I've looked at Recaro and Sparcco (Expensive ).
    2) Add cruise control
    3) Add power locks and security system.
    4) add ipod connection (I've seen the Tutorial, looks doable)
    5) Add power windows
    6) Add Sun Roof

Any advice as to how, where, when, cost, or practicality would be greatly appreciated. Need help with math, I'll do what I can.

    Marc

    Welcome to TW!

Adding the cruise and iPod connection are completely doable in a reasonable amount of time. As for adding power locks, security, and power windows; that will take quite a bit more work. (I don't think I know of anyone that has done that yet) The sun roof will almost have to be professional. That isn't something that you want to take your chances on messing up.

We will be glad to help, but you are charting a bunch of unknown territory.

    Thank you for your feedback,

Yes! I agree with you completely. The sun roof will have to be done professionally. As far as the Cruise Control is concerned. I have the installation instructions for the Rosta product. What isn't shown is how to remove the steering wheel and airbag assembly and how to access the J/B on drivers side. Any suggestions on where to find better bucket seats. I have a low back injury that makes the Tocoma seats uncomfortable for long periods of driving?

    Thanks,
    Marc
