newbie tires help

    so i am lifting my truck 3 inch's.........want to get 17x8 rims......what's the biggest tires i can put on the rims with out rubbing........are there any cheap online wheel and tires canadian dealers.......and what how far apart are mine lug pattern (6 lugged)

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    they are 6x5.5 or 6x139 (i think thats the crazy metric equivalent)...as far as tires, u can go as high as a 285/70/17, but that will give u some minor rubbing on the mud flap.

    6x5.5 lug pattern

    They have a build a package option. Their computer didnt seem to want to put 285/70/17 BFGs on 17 inch rims, just call'em and they'll do it.

    FYI those tires are gonna be 32.7" in diameter.

    Seems like the more common areas for rubbing are the mudflaps, inside the fender, and the body seam where it's pinch welded. But as long as you're not trying to stuff 38"x14" super mud destroyers in your wheel wells it's fixable.
