    This is my first post as a new member. Many thanks to hammerdog for your post "diy oem cruise control" and the link that walked me through the successful installation on my 07 Tacoma Base. Also ordered and installed a class 3 receiver hitch and wiring adapter from thehitchstore.com with complete satisfacton.
    My first Toyta truck was a [well] used 87. Purchased a 98 SR5 2.4L new, drove it without mishap until last week and traded it for the 07.
    Looking forward to more tips and techniques, and willing to share any discoveries I come accross.

    Thanks for the welcome. I don't know why, but I identified my Tacoma as an 07. It is an 09 Access cab base model; thus no cruise.
    I am looking forward to some MPG increase after reading about removing the carbon filter in the intake box.
