Newbie

Hey,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Matt and I am in the process of purchasing a 2008 Tacoma Double Cab SR5. I am switching over from driving chevrolets my whole life, yet i still own my 1986 monte carlo ss which i plan on restoring and driving again. But I have always wanted a truck but certain circumstances prevented me from getting one. Now that ive had a stable job, won custody of my son etc its time for me to get my truck. I hope I dont have any problems with my truck like im having with my car i have now. and i look forward to being a part of this site.

BTW, im 23, live in delaware (not sure if there are any other fellow delawarians), im pretty out going.

thanks for the welcoming guys, i plan on getting an auto truck, i damaged my knee when i was 16 playing football with friends so i have difficulty with my left knee, i would rather drive standard but the constant movement of my knee would kill me...And I will definately take pics of both of them together the monte is white and the truck is going to be white, i decided on just getting a prerunner too, i dont live anywhere where i'd need 4 wheel drive, and it was wat 2800-3000 bucks cheaper so thats what i went with.

Welcome to the forum Matt. I had two Chevrolet trucks. I gotta say the Tacoma is by far the best.

 

Welcome Matt, You'll love your truck when you get it. I like Chevy Cars and trucks myself but I have always wanted a Tacoma and I finally got one. Would'nt trade it for anything. Let me know if you need advice with the stereo setup if you decide to upgrade your sound.

Welcome to TW. I have found the folks here very helpful. I also switched to a Tacoma, but from a Ford. I'm still waiting on it to come in.

I was born in Delaware, but can't claim to be one. We moved to the other side of Philly a short time later.

 

hey guys a quick update i bought my 2008 Tacoma about 5 weeks ago its a a double cab, white, with the TRD Sport package, its a prerunner, auto, and i absolutely love the truck, i do not have a computer at home right now to take pictures but i hope to get one soon. i got her with .5 miles on the odo
