    Better MPG/New V6 from 4Runner and FJ
Bed light integrated in 3rd brake light
    chip resistant paint
Consistent paint finish on fenders (dull on 2nd gens due to plastic texture)
Rubber/Vinyl floor, doesn't everyone get rubber floormats anyway?
Higher thigh support angle in front seats
    Bulletproof tailgate that won't bend
Locking tailgate if it is removeable (or just make it unremoveable!)
    Locking gas door
HD Radio with AUX input, USB input, and no CD/DVD junk, or just one that works!
    Rust resistant frame
More bed D-Rings and wall tie downs
Higher quality dash, less cheapo plastic (dimpled junk is horrible)
Clock and Radio readouts that are visible in sunlight
DO NOT make it look like the new 4Runner (or in other words, like ass)
Slide down rear window (like Tundra)
Get rid of fabric on arm rests (use leather or vinyl)
Center console made of less hard plastic
Slightly darker gray fabric that won't show dirt as easily
Stiffer rear leaf springs on TRDs
    Fix erratic shifting problem
Homelink buttons along side Temp and compass
Real time MPG computer like my 2005 4Runner
    Fix spongy brake feel
    Rear disc brakes
    Hood lift dampers

That is my fear. Even bigger size and more carlike styling. Ugg. Might as well make it IRS while they are at it. :(

BLIS Option and better throttle response.
I don't know if it was just my old '06, but when I really put my foot down, it took a little longer to kick than I wanted it to.

Remove the body/cab from this and bolt the current tacoma body/cab to it.

Good luck getting one of those to North America affordably though. Unfortunately it is much cheaper to SAS a Tacoma yourself... which isn't cheap given current resale values.

I would like the see the Hilux offered instead of the Tacoma. Would save Toyota some money in only building one truck, and in my opinion they look better then the Tacoma.

The new same V6 that is going in the new 4 runner is 270hp. Up 10hp from the previous 4.7 V8. Toyota will not be putting the V8 in the new 4 runner, I highly doubt you would see it in the new tacoma. I don't see why modern diesels are any less reliable then older models. If anything the technology is much improved and the design, and materials technology is vastly improved. Compacted graphite blocks, aluminum heads, lots of power and way way better fuel economy then anything previously build without electronics. Your remembering the lemon that has been a Ford diesel since the 7.3L era.

These are available now if you ask your salesman. Well, not the black color, but my '09 has two stage heated leather seats in a gray that blends in with the rest of the cab.

    Just an FYI.

Make it exactly like my 1984 4X4 Truck, except with a diesel engine, standard air lockers and paint that doesn't peel.

    LEATHER!!!! LEATHER!!!! LEATHER!!!! BLACK LEATHER!!!!

    Black Floor Carpet!

Do not make it 1st gen size! Then it will be no better than the rest of the small trucks. The new size makes it more comfortable. U want it smaller to fit a trail??? dumbest thing I ever heard, u put huge wide offroad tires and your back to 2nd gen width. PLus only a small margin of buyer takes their truck off road, and of those you only spend a fraction of the time off road.

    Power Seats!

    Temperature AC Controls

    Dual Climate Zones

They will never put a Beefier tire on it because it will make the test Drives louder.

    Nav for sure

    LEATHER!!!!

Weathertechs, personally fabricated tailgate lock, tint, extra D rings, Exactfit seatcovers, re-enforcing the tailgate and adding a leaf next week.
Buy one and find out. I had two. The new emissions standards are killing them. Even Cummins aren't what they used to be.

I sort of agree, the first year with a DPF was crap, however the new model year diesels are amazing engines. I would still rather have a 2006 cummins however. The fuel economy is climbing back up, you have to remember that the first turbo 12 valve cummins made 180HP. The new cummins makes about 360HP, there is no way that the 2 engines would ever be able to get the same fuel economy, or maintain the same level of reliability, if you want more power there will have to be sacrifices. However it seems only to be a problem for the domestic diesel makers, VW's line of TDI is the best they have ever been, clean, quite, incredibly fuel efficient, and the most power they've ever had. I think probably like everything else in the NA market things are slow to change, the new Ford 6.4 is supposed to be the best ford motor yet, better then the 7.3, we'll have to wait and see though.
I think people need to see the benefit of diesels more if we are to ever see them as common as in Europe.
