So I've had my +P tune for about a month.
I haven't had much of a chance to drive the truck of late, but have had a chance to drive in a few different conditions.
I've done a little bit of highway driving, some of my "more normal" commuting (typically 35-50 mph roads), as well as some of our class 6 roads, which often require 4 LO to comfortably navigate.

Since the tune I also upgraded from the stock 265/70/16 Wranglers to some 255/85/16 Yoko Geolander MTs.

I also spent last week out of state, so it's been almost 2 weeks since I drove my truck when I got in it this morning.

I drove the ~25 miles into work this morning.
What an incredible joy to drive.

I had forgotten how much better it is to drive post tune.
No "hunting for gears".
Throttle response is aggressive, but smooth and predictable.

Such an amazing improvement.

 

Just emailed Mat at VF tune to trade in my dongle
Replied that they’re not accepting trade ins for VF license at this time
Can’t afford to pay some one else to I stay a tune
Out 700$
Really just sucks
Bought in at the beginning when he started
And now…? Crickets

 

Your correct but it was only on the forums.
Could have sent an email to the OG guys.
Seems like he could make an exception since it was $700.
Had some life changing events and time flew by.
Just hoping he can do the right thing.

 

Ok Mat just emailed me back saying I can upgrade for free..!!
Was just bummed about losing out even though it was my fault for not doing it sooner.’
I’ve always been patient and never complained but he’s taking care of it.
Very thankful..!!

With the release of the latest major OVTune software upgrade, VERSION 1.6.0.43122, any insights yet on new improvements we may see upcoming?

Unfortunately the update didn't come with everything we expected, but we've been cranking away at a new version regardless of the update. Although, with some maps that have returned to vF Tuner, things have changed from previous versions and it has slowed us down some. Nothing we can't overcome though.

 

I'm so happy I came across this!! I've been monitoring the old tune thread hoping you'd come back and school us some more, yet here you are!!
I enjoyed your m+w tow tune over the summer while on road trip and beyond.
Not seeing it being developed further, got one of KD max tunes, and not being happy with jerky trans while in traffic, I went VR hoping for milder ride and better mpg (lol).
I was seriously considering KD upgrade, but since I found you guys here, might as well go with OG m+w upgrade

Excellent. I know you guys will add some fun stuff to the build, can't wait!

I have ~500 miles on my current build. It's been 99% in-town driving and I have no issues/complaints.

It just fun to drive, hard for others to understand/believe until they get behind the wheel.

Will this and any further updated versions be available free to current Nexus tune owners or will there be a fee (as one of your competitors is charging =\) to upgrade?

 

Until we are completely satisfied and the tune is "finalized" updates will be free.
