I do not believe so. I don't believe you had that issue either, reading through the messages in the Facebook chat.

RPM's will fluctuate as load increases. The AC compressor kicking on and turning off is a good example of when that will occur and shouldn't be any reason for concern.

 

Turning the wheel can make it rise too. Power steering.

 

It happens at idle at a stoplight, and I’m never running the AC. It’s also a smaller than normal fluctuation. Like I said it’s only 50 RPMs or so.

 

Mine does the same thing. I also have stumble starts after warmed up.

 

Factory tunes fluctuate idle. This is normal with loads varying on the engine. Please elaborate on the stumble starting. When did this begin? What octane are you running? Can you log the issue for assessment?

 

The tune is amazing, so in no way does the idle fluctuation affect anything. I honestly think it just needs more miles. The driveability is beyond the last tune

 

Which throttle setting are using on the Kdmax tune? I also drive conservative for MPG and looking for a tune to help with the wonky shifting of our trucks

 

Wanted to give everyone a bit of an update on things since raising thread has been quiet. Initial release had some fairly isolated limp mode reports on some trucks, and was solved. Low end ping has also been resolved. Part throttle enrichment will be revisited in a future update. We do have several different throttle settings we've done for different owners and their driving preferences. If the tune you receive is too spicy, just let us know and we'll send you a milder setting.

 

Any Nexus tuners in the St. Louis area?

 

I use the lightest throttle map. ECT for when I tow or need more throttle on the highway.

 

Since it's been a year and no one has posted (), just wanted to see if there are any tuning updates now that we're through the holidays. I have noticed that my truck likes to shift up and down (maybe lock and unlock TC?) when accelerating from say 5mph up to 20, like it up shifts, realizes it still needed power, and down shifts again, all within a few seconds. Not sure if the issues brought up recently are related to this but thought it was worth mentioning.

 

It is related to SLU solenoid management for 2nd and 3rd gears. Also, there is a large gap in throttle limits between 3 and 4th.
Talk to @ktbell444 or @Kevinpd325. We went through this last summer with Karl, and Kevin last December.

Definitely exactly what Vlady said. 100% TC locking and unlocking. We are in a development phase, but in the meantime if this is something that's bothering you I can set you up with what I did for Valdy last year. Lol

We will announce it here, on FB and our website. It's up to the customer from there if there want it. We have record of every truck tuned and can verify if you are in fact an existing customer or new one. Those tune by us prior will receive the updates free of charge.
