    It's also probably lighter than the stock bed, giving a little more payload.

    It would look better but I'm not sure how well aluminum takes paint. Might look even worse if the paint scratched, exposing the aluminum.

    You can paint aluminum no problem , if it scratches it doesn't rust . Re-paint as needed .
