I am going to put my TC cam tab gussets and new LCA's up for sale this weekend.

 

New LCAs? You go with oem or something fancier?

I have my eye on DK or TC LCAs and those marlin crawler gussets. I like that they reinforce the whole area.

 

I have OEMs after mine were determined frozen. Unless you think I should keep them handy? Definitely going to sell my TC cam tab gusset kit.

 

I SHOULD be frugal and go with oem lcas, but...I can't resist the shiny grey of TC arms. Just hard to drop ~2Gs on something that isn't long travel. That's why I am looking at DK arms.

If I were you, I'd keep/install the oem arms, and ditch the tc gussets.

 

I was only going to do my LCA bushings as a precaution since they had to come off. Now that they don't thanks to these BAD BOIIS I'll just save it for when it's needed!

 

I actually thought you had these installed already. Didn't you buy them like 6 months ago?

The amount of work the job takes alone turned me off to it. Also, delays in finding someone to do the work was a task in and of itself. This, I can take to the same shop that wanted $500 for the TC job and even if they want HALF of that cost for it, I would have them do it. This should only take 1/4 of the time and be just as strong if not stronger.

I plan on going there anyways to have them weld up my DIY BAMF hangers cross brace. $200-$300 for the Marlin kit install and the brackets welded to the tubing I need and I can drive in and out without needed another alignment? This TC kit better sell ASAP!!

 

I'd post it for sale in the LT classifieds. I imagine it would get scooped pretty quick.

Thanks! It’s been a fun process! Now I’m at the point where I have more trips than mods for the rig!

 

That’s when it gets fun! My next thing is for sure a softopper. Can’t wait.

 

Nice! I love having a softopper! The weight of my softopper and aluminum bedrack combined are less than the weight of my original steel bedrack, or a fiberglass topper which is why I went this route lol

 

Exactly why I want to go that route too! I have to drive 70 miles a day at least M-F in truck so I’m trying to keep it as “light” as possible lol

 

maybe when you're ready for a softopper rack i'll have a 3rd gen version designed!

 

So... next month? Sounds good!!

haha maybe a roadtrip to the middle depending on timing! I do need to find time to measure a shortbed 3rd gen to ensure everything fits!
