Well, they asked what in the world I had been doing to knock the toe so far out. I just smiled and said, "Moab". Got it back in spec though. I'm sure that's what was causing the accelerated wear on the front.

Time for a long overdue update. I'll try to pick up where I left off...
So, I think I covered pretty much everything I did last spring except the fenders/flares/liners..
I ended up cutting 2.5" out of the fenders and every so often folding the tabs back for mounting points like this:
    IMG_20130327_173541_zps04ed9c30_c7fb3ff9b4406bad10539a110d758d4c8f351dd6.jpg

Then I drilled holes in those tabs and welded some nuts and washers to the tabs.
    [future picture]

The rear cleared fine with no more cutting, but the front required a great deal of cutting and BFH work to completely clear the tires. I cut the pinch weld completely off, then beat the sheet metal back, welded it back together about every half inch, and then sealed it with some RTV.
    IMG_20130413_163409_zpseda94318_5765ebf9148b1695cb4940b82daed1f04c88f39f.jpg
    IMG_20130413_184256_zpsa0af880b_626e55b63d2c76b8846e963f3817e993ae8b6d60.jpg
    IMG_20130413_184307_zpsb5611cbb_065d065bed022cf967a9998b289152ddc727d323.jpg

The front of the front fenderwells had to be massaged as well. I beat these in probably about 2". I had to relocate some wiring and the washer fluid reservoir. The bolt you see to the right in the first pic actually goes up to the bottom of the washer reservoir.
    IMG_20130413_163443_zps2160a2f5_fb50a591d94569ef95c78275eca56da8f3361d7c.jpg

I then cut the flares 2.5" as well and just put some of the cheap stick on "edge trim" over the edges.

Then I picked up some thin ABS plastic sheeting and cut fender liners for all four corners, drilled holes at fender tab locations, and bolted those dudes in. I cut the liners so that they would overhang the gap between the flare and fender and slightly push against the flare for some added stability.

I also added a few zip ties in some strategic locations, and had to make some brackets for the front to mount.
    IMG_20131109_125014_807_zpsa2362748_153e0b904aa3a7847faac2935147b76827c967eb.jpg

The fender supports on the rear were modified to work as well. I think I bent these things in about 20 different spots before I got them right lol. I welded all of the bend locations when I got done..
    IMG_20130413_162907_zpsd3a921e6_d0f87500f661e1fd0fdfd14b11414564df84ec24.jpg

And, now I have zero rub.:D

Then, Moab! Here's a few from Lauren's album. I have apparently misplaced the flash drive that had our pics on it:(
I believe all of these are from Gold Bar Rim and Golden Spike.

Not sure yet. I want to do a trip through Colorado at some point as well, so I will have to see when it gets a little closer.

Yeah, I definitely want to hit the San Juans. Haven't planned much farther than that though lol. I want to do about 7 to 10 days just doing some mild to moderate stuff on more of an expedition type trip.

there's a good area between crested butte/aspen/buena vista that can keep you busy for days

between there and lake city/ouray/silverton/telluride area, you can easily put together a great expedition style trip.

Sweet, I'll check those out. I picked up the FunTreks guide and an offroad atlas that should help with planning, but I'll probably be picking you and few others brains before I go.

So, we jumped in the truck and headed to Moab for Rock Therapy. But, we had to make a quick pit stop in CO to hunt a buddy of mine's property and round up some supper. Because no camping trip is complete without some sort of wild game cooked on the grill.:D

Then we jumped on 70 and headed toward Moab. A few pics from that..

The next day we did some light wheeling around BFE and just marveled at the landscape.
