Has anyone on here had/have them on there truck. And if so what are your opinions on them. Also how much treadlife you've gotten out of them.

I'm on set 2, the first set would have gotten about 40,000 miles if I ran them all the way down. Killer tire for on/off road use

Yea not to bad. I made sure to rotate them every oil change. I'm curious what the difference will be with the new ones, they are the 285/75/16 D load range versus the old ones were 285/70/17 E load range. wonder if there is a diff. in rubber compounds

the terra grappler is not a mud tire...its not going to self clean like a mud tire

run a set of bfg a/ts or really any other all-terrain designated tire thru mud and you'll end up with the same or at least similar results

I have been really happy with the Terra Grapplers. I have been running them on all of my trucks with good results. Much better then the BFG's I used to run on.

Same post - different thread. NTGs are good AT tire for mix of road/trail. Reasonably priced too. Different driving habits/suspension setups/alignment variables/conditions are gonna get different results but most that are using them for AT have decent results. As with anything else, no one thing is king of all shit. There are better road tires & there are better offroad tires. Just like a bicycle for example, figure out your needs then buy what works best most of the time if you don't have stuff dedicated every different situation. NTGs are an excellent all around tire. 500 treadwear does not really point to soft compounds IMO. I would expect an AT tire to suck in mud & rocks where you really need an offroad tire instead. Just to keep this perspective, how many different brands of AT tires are out there & how many are being touted here as a better AT tire. 1, from what has been being posted, only the BFG AT is being listed here as a superior AT tire and at a superior price too. That doesn't portray much negative anything about about the NTGs.
