About 34-36. It’s comfortable and handles well. I go alittle higher if I’m towing. Mine are 285/75-16.

If you are primarily street, the ridge grapplers are hard to beat. I still get good gas mileage for 285/70/17s, the ride is great in C range and its super quiet. Its done amazing in every terrain I've been in (never put it in thick mud before though). My only complaint is that it's heavy for 35s, so I will not be purchasing it it when I move up to that size. However, if I was going to get 33s again, I would get it in a heart beat.

I am leaning toward the ridge grapplers myself...had the trail grapplers and loved them...what does your tire measure height wise? and what kind of mpg's do you get? the trail grapplers took a pretty big hit at 15.5 mpg in a 295/70/17 size

I'll have to double check, but the specs say that they're 32.76" tall. Your 295s are also 7 pounds heavier too. In the city I'm getting 17-18mpgs. Freeway anywhere from 20-21mpgs depending if I keep it under 65 or not. I have an aluminum front bumper steel sliders and a steel high clearance rear + swing arm + full size spare.

yea that is what the specs say just seeing if it was accurate or not...its true about the 295s....that was a good size tire..thanks for the response...i only run a 2 inch lift so am considering the trail grapplers as their specs are 31.89" tall in the 285/70/16....idk ...decisions decisions....nitto makes a great tire though....no dispute about that!

It also depends on the width of your wheel too. If you have a wider wheel, it will "stretch" it a bit, reducing the actual height, plus variable factors like PSI and what not too. But all in all, its probably +/- a fraction of an inch. That being said, every inch counts

Awesome pics thank you for the reply. I’m leaning more towards the Ridge as they look plenty aggressive. Good to see them on a brother Inferno too!

I have trail grapplers on my truck and have got near 40k miles out of them so far, they aren’t loud by the way. I have a buddy with ridge grapplers on his Tundra and will be replacing after 15k miles. Mine are 33x12.50 his are 35x12.50. I also have like 4 nails/screws in these tires that have been there over a year without issues. I’ve never had to add air.

I’ve always been confused by those tire measurements how do those compare to a 285/75 ? Any pics your ride?

Heavier truck will do that. My coworker has a ford f250 and his trail grapplers didn't last a year. I have ~22k on mine and they have about 60% life left, although they do have some chunking and what not from wheeling.

Just seeing if anyone else has pics of comparison on these two tires, thanks!

After 86000 miles and new. I will get over 90000 miles on the Trail Grapplers and guess what? Going back with the Trail Grapplers. I get between 17-18 MPG whether highway or not. Before the changes 22-23.

Those look sweet on your truck, I was trying to read your sidewall to see what size they are?

285 70 17 trails. Not loud at all but do have enough growl to keep you honest. I get compliments on them all the time. 1113CE45-8E15-42D8-A6FA-32E6E2459948.jpg
