if they can't figure out how to do it with the studs on I would not trust them to seat it to the proper depth

it's no biggie pressing them. any machine shop with a guy worth 1/2 his weight can do it.

You have fun buying a 100 ton press and bringing it home.... 20 ton ain't enough sometimes

No need for a new one. Just get all new seals and make sure your dust shield ain't corroded to shit. Dust sheild is the metal that keeps the dust and shit off your brakes.

this should all be covered in the wheel bearing bs thread dam n00bs http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...eplacement-part-s-general-bs.html#post3278586

ok time for bed....long night and longer day tomorrow

I ended up picking up a pair of hub flanges from eBay and new hubs so I can have a whole assembly as spares in my truck.

hubs were fairly tight back in February when I did the lift. I was about 10 miles from home last week and one of them started making a hellacious noise. I babied it home and found the right front was smoking hot. when I pressed the flange off the hub it left the race on the flange, roller bearings were smoked. Fhlarton wins again!

if not I have a spare set, but they are a little bent from dropping my truck off the jack onto them :D

you should start pressing them together and selling them on flee bay. :D

this is the best way to tell IMO. if your spindles are red hot after a slow drive with little braking the bearings is bad

thought about doing some kind of exchange for TW members if people don't mind having their truck down while waiting on shipping. send me your old piece(s) ill send a whole new piece ready to bolt on.

not only was the RF smoked but it had tremendous play in it. my experience with hubs is they usually start to make noise first. maybe the tire noise drowned out the hub noise :notsure: but I couldn't turn that fucker by hand once I had it off the truck
