I bought that Cobra from Amazon. It started smoking the first day I tried it on the trail. Kevin NJ636 and Jamie jeep guy witnessed it. I returned it and went to White Dot in Vincentown, NJ and picked up a Uniden.

Moral of the story...I think I'd rather buy a cb from a real store rather than online. I think my Cobra may have been a remaned unit

As I continue reading 255s are without a doubt better on road driving than 285s. Im def getting the skinnys, just havent decided which ones yet. I drive an hour each way to work and I only drive on the beach to search for fishing spots and find private areas to chill at with my gf and/or meet some buddies to post up in the summer months. Im not running baja races.. and if I can play alittle in the mud and snow along the way thats all good.

Anybody in this thread already running 255/85s? Pics would be great too.

I'll probably run 285s or 295s when I go up next time, will have to do "cab" mount chop etc. but whatever at that point the truck will be a trail beast. I just like the flotation and look of a wider tire.

Skinnies are cool too and definitely great for krawling and have their own look. - i thought about doing the 255/80's instead of my 265/75 now, but I don't think that is as big of a difference. If I were you and want a 33 for on road driving id probably run the skinnies too

I've been running 255's for a few years.

They make 285's look like stock height tires.

Km2's run big and are almost 34" diameter.

Best way to get clearance with the least amount of money spent with least modifications to handle a similar diameter tire.

Yea buddy! When I was at his house we actually slid one on my truck to check it out and it looked Rad! It gave it a military look that I really dig. 53C7D92B-479E-49C8-9AFE-766410ECDB5A_zps_756a46befc8a480037430cb91dfa9753b0e28a72.jpg 560C550A-31A8-4BF9-996C-B7B1AF832425_zps_0f5aedfef5a80b2fd46827f27bf9de703efa9d47.jpg

if you meant for me, I was comparing the 255/80 and the 265/75, not the 255/85 (the 80 is still "skinny")

265/70/16 is closer to 31 and 265/75/16 is around 32 I think. Also josh I may have left brown burton pipe gloves at your place.
