Yes, it's a very nice tent. Take care of it and it will last forever. IMO it's worth paying a bit more for easy setup and staying dry no matter what. I'm sure if you have any issues with an REI brand product they'll work hard to right it.

With that said if you want to save some money and you aren't planning on anything that makes lightweight very beneficial you could get a similar performing tent much cheaper.

 

I like Eureka for tents. Over a decade later I can still order spare parts and accessories for mine. Doubt that's the case with many other brands. I've never waterproofed it and it has never leaked....and every single time we camp it rains for days lol.

I'm sure in a hurricane a dome is great but ill take my boyscouts A frame over all tents for car camping regardless of the seasons or weather. Poking pokes through sleeves in the dark is not for me. I can usually have mine set up and packed before others have two poles in their sleeves.

Who's got the best rear bumper with tire carrier? In your opinion.

Ant's dual swingout seemed pretty slick. I think it was a relentless. If you go CBI you at least know you will get it on the faster side.

Was thinking of taking a day off tomorrow and installing my CB but apparently it's supposed to rain all day. FML.

I just learned about the BC meet a couple days ago. I would if I didn't have plans all weekend already. I don't feel like driving 3.5 hours just to be there for less than a day then drive home.

Also not sure what the lead time at Relentless Fab is like right now...last I heard it was a loooong time.

I like CBI's rear bumper, I just wish that they offered a dual swingout option since there's a lot of leverage on the hinge with a single swingout when it's open. You can also take a look at Pelfreybilt, but like CBI it doesn't have a dual swingout if that's a concern for you.
