Nice. That's a good enough reason to stop by the exhaust shop and pick up an angled piece and a clamp. Thanks chris

reminds me of my days working at a paddle sports shop, amazing what people can do to a kayak or canoe in a couple of hours.

well i think I solved that problem of the growling. there was an exhaust shield touching the y pipe in a spot I couldnt see very well. no wonder I missed it last night on the side of the road trying to figure out what was wrong.

    today's projects were both busts...
-exhaust angle and clamp as per Pap's pic ^...
the guy at the shop didnt expand the pipe enough to slip over the stock exhaust pipe, so I'll go back tomorrow for round 2.
-skid mounting... gonna need a longer transfercase skid to work with the exhaust flange and the demello bolt on sliders. I'm now really wishing I just had a shop do a custom y pipe and had done weld on sliders instead. I hate regrets.

I think that's why I've waited so long to do some of these mods. You get a pretty good feel of what works & whats best after hanging around a while just observing it all...
We've got to pick a day/time to get you Nj guys your parts!:D

Yea i try to over research everything so when shit doesnt work it really pisses me off. when your reading about why to go with bolt on vs weld on sliders no one ever says "because bolt on dont work with ATO skid plates"...

Ill have to see what my schedule is next week, but Id like to get it from you as soon as I can. Especially considering it doesnt look like Ill have my transmission or transfercase skids on for the rc trip.

I think it'd look good. Personally I like the smoked look on my truck cause it matches the door handles and fender flares. I'm curious to see it on yours though. Go for it!

Great time. I've gotta admit, your house is my favorite to meet up at. I can park across the street and still wonder if it's quicker to just walk home.lol

I guess we'll just have to have another meet so we can get the video. Special thanks to Sarah for picking up more mix so we wouldn't run out.

Emblem looks great. Looking forward to doing the others.

Yea, I guess the hole on that version is just smaller. The other ones already have a 1/2" opening.

You use a pre-existing bolt on the 2nd gens? Don't think I have that option on my 1st gen. I would think I'd need a big backer plate to keep it from pulling through the bed if I really crank something down on it.
