Dielectric grease is an insulator, it's not recommended to put on terminals.

DeOxIt or Stabilant 22A is good stuff for connections but really expensive.

Good to know, I'll look in the parts stores. I work out my truck. I mow for a living. If the air goes out on me when it's 95° outside, I'll be pissed. I'll inspect my plug for the resistor and that will be the deciding factor if I should replace it. I wanna try and make it to where it won't be as likely to fail

I put Stabilant 22 on mine we'll see how long it lasts.

Honesly, going back and forth contemplating, I think I'm just going to get the new resistor and harness and just be done with it. Knowing me, if it goes bad when it's a °110 heat index and 95° days in the somerset kentucky area, I will be so pissed

The good thing is if the resistor dies you will still have high speed so it won't be completely dead.

That's true, knowing how I am, I would like to do this as preventative. That way I won't have to worry about it for awhile. However, I did get a duralast from autozone for the blower motor. The resistor and such I'll get from toyota. I hope that duralast motor lasts a decent bit

I just came out of toyota again for the 3rd time today. I got the resistor and new pigtail. I got to talk to a tech. He said it helps tremendously. He said he said they very rarely come back.

Yea I haven't seen where anyone that did the update had another failure.
Do note the differences in the wiring though, diagram is posted in the post I linked in my first post.

My blower motor plug as I said is completely cooked. Just got that fixed. Now working on the resistor. Even it was starting to burn. Thanks dm93 for the guide. Didn't realize the colors on the updated harness are different. Having that in front of me is nice while doing this

If you run on high alot you may want to check the switch too when you get time, it's kind of tricky to get out but it's doable.

Back together and everything is great. Let's see how long this lasts. When i have some extra time, I'll definitely pull the switch and see what it looks like
