I ran through a recently repaired road and had a fun time cleaning the tar off. I could hear the gravel in the wheel well and rocker panels....I will be getting mud flaps when they are available.

So does anyone know of the 15 mud flaps mount up the same way on the 16s? Or the bolt holes different?

I think there's an extra layer of really thick clear coat?? on all the lower portions of the exterior. I was wondering about the mudd flaps tho. No paint chips on mine YET but again thick layer of clear coat so far so good. Only been in the rocks once so far ....

No front mud flaps since 08. 90k miles later no chips...at least on the rockers.

It's not "thicker clear coat". It is a protective clear sticker. My 2011 Tundra had the same thing. I did not have any trouble with it chipping or looking bad after 60k miles.

No flaps = paint chips. Especially if you drive on gravel a lot. Ask my rockers. They will tell you the same.

The new mud flaps are stiff . I'll wait until someone makes some that will bend when dragged

Actually you're right. I just looked at a pic of my old Tundra and it had small mud flaps. I could have sworn it was on the rocker panels but it's not its in front of the real wheel. DOLP!
