Shipping items by water/ship is the cheapest way to move goods per ton. That's why the trucks are shipped that way.

It creates an air curtain. That’s why it’s on dozens of modern car models

Regional differences I’m sure, but MA/southern NH is flooded with these things. They have discounts already. Was in NH dealer for a part and it was quiet. It’s a lot more than just tacomas. People who can afford $48,000+ for a new vehicle have been tapped out. I must say the truck lots are more full with tundras. What a mess that engine is.

If you want a 24, come on down…..plenty of colors too.

The whole auto market is pretty fucked right now. BMW in their infinite wisdom introduced a 2024 $75,000-80,000 usd 5 Series. Guess how many of those have sold in the past 90 days. Hardly any.

I was surprised to see three 2024 Tacomas didn’t sell at the local dealer over Easter weekend. And these were not the expensive Tacomas. Just regular Sport, SR5, and Off-Roads. Of course Gulf States had them loaded with “extras” to “add value”.

    They just collected dust.

Expect that to only get worse for Toyota, if they can’t sell these brand new models now just wait

Are you asking how shipping ports are used to transport cars? Here is a picture of the Newark Toyota port.

I counted 8 Tacomas and 10 Tundras at Grappone Toyota Monday. The lot is full of new vehicles. Back to pre-covid fullness.

My OR was built on 3/11 and shipped to San Diego on 3/12 (according to dealer)
    Still apparently sitting there.
There are no Tacos of any kind on the lots within a 100 miles (eastern IA). Some
dealers list "inventory" but all are "in transit" which never show up.
No way to track without being a pita with my salesman, who I like). Can't test drive.
can't even sit in one. What are others seeing for wait times?

I have a dealer with 8 and one with 3 Tacomas on the lot right now.
