    Not exactly/Sort of. You'll see the original sock type filter before the pump. You'll most likely see discolouration. If it's badly clogged then you'll definitely see an issue.

    How many miles does your truck have? I didn't see that asked yet.

    Factory service interval for the OEM pump/filter is 30k miles. It is approx $500. URD and Dezod both sell fuel pump upgrade kits. The pump won't affect your fuel mileage. The system only uses what it needs to stay in the tuned parameters.

    Once you have the pump upgrade installed, the fuel filter becomes external. And is now about $5-10 to replace. Very easy.

    The instructions which come with the kits are very well laid out and simple to follow.

    I didnt go a read thru all the responses.... Buuut I can tell u what I've seen in my experience. We have this happen on some Chrysler cars..most electronic throttle controlled cars have the same basic parts..the pedal which senses the your throttle input, pcm. And then electronic throttle body.. When ant of those act up they set a code, sometimes it may be a stored code so you won't have any engine or etc lights...so id get it scanned right after it happens if you can..

    on a few Chrysler cars I had that happen,only after driving for about 30 minutes... Turned out the computer would overheat and cause l the problems.

    I would think more along the lines of the throttle body,pedal or computer problem before I think a wire or connection problem...a wiring or connection would be an all the time problem and less random

    The fuel pump upgrade kit will help overall, and be a worthy upgrade in general. With only 68k miles, I cannot see the filter being clogged that badly. Unless you only use cheap brand gas. Then fill upat the same time that the station is being filled up. (Not a good idea, as the sediment at the bottom of the tank will get stirred up.)

    It's actually been happening for over 2 years. First time it happened I was hot rodding next to a buddy on the highway who had just installed and intake and maf cal and that's where it did it

    Have you pulled you spark plugs, at any point in the 20k life, just to see if anything was out of the ordinary?

    Have you had the hood open and truck idling, and listened for vacuum leaks? Loud hissing sound. A lengthy vacuum hose to your ear and the other end probing around the engine will also help you hear tiny ones. Like around the injectors.

    The plugs have been replaced, factory ones I pulled looked normal, and yes on the idling, but probably not as thorough as I should I can do that tomorrow

    No throttle reaponse at all. It acts like it wants to but just can't rev back up

    Excellent question.

    Does it stumble when "it acts like it wants to"? I don't remember, but do you have a Scangauge 2 or Ultragauge?
