No Throttle Response Randomly

    can you hear the Intake tone change? Trying to see if the throttle body is opening, or your losing fuel pressure... Sounds more like throttle body problem than a fuel pump.fuel pumps are a more consistent thing..

    Alright. If you haven't already, then set one of the readings to % TPS.

    You can also enter the codes for bank1 AFR and Bank2 AFR. It is a long code to enter, and it is available on the Scangauge website.

    When the stumble happens, try to give it more throttle, it will display what the actual throttle body position is, versus what the pedal position is.

    Something simple here, have you checked to make sure you hose clamps are tight on the aFe intake?

    Have you checked the pcv hose on the driver side of the intake, which goes to the valve cover? Check it for cracks or obvious anomaly?

    No I'll go over the engine bay tomorrow though and will look at the throttle body

    Okay all hoses are perfect around the intake and vacuum lines, should i inspect the throttle body while i'm working on the truck?

    I've seen much worse.
    You'll want to clean that up, but not until after you get the current problems resolved. When you clean it, your idle is going to jump for the first few restarts until the computer relearns the proper idle trim position.
    Cleaning it now will introduce another variable that you don't need.

    well thats dirty but not terrible. Clean it off and you will like the results;)

    I have had the exact same issue as you. Driving along and suddenly lose all throttle control...engine just idles.

    In my case I had a bad starter which was causing bad delays in the UCON sync up and screwing up everything. new starter in and problem solved. Not sure if the same issue could affect the maf calibrator or not?

    sometimes it threw a code for throttle position sensor...sometimes it did not. double chck your wiring since removing the maf calibrator. And get some electric cleaner and clean off the plug that goes into your throttle body

    Honestly its worth doing even though it might not related to the problem at hand. You will end up with a serviceable fuel filter that cost $20 rather than $400-$500 and a superior pump than the factory one.

    It has been doing this since the MAF Cal was removed? Not before?

    Check over your wiring. There you will find the problem. If you have any other wiring in there, check over that as well.

    Both. Removing the MAF calibrator didn't affect this situation

    A friend of mine texted me who saw this thread and said his truck does the same thing. He has a broken clip on one of the sensors on the trans
