Noise coming from near or in gas tank

    I know has been discussed but last night just before i was going to bed i took something into the garage. truck had not been run for 9 hours and i find it making that ticking noise. i am sorry, it's weird and creepy to go to bed knowing your truck has something running in or near the gas tank. guess you never really shut the truck off, i mean what does it do run some self diagnostic test at midnight?
