You might be able to afford to use Trufuel in your weed wacker. Probably too expensive to use in a generator.

I get a definite bump in mileage, my other vehicle a few years older it's a solid 2mpg.

More than the mileage, the best thing non-ethanol gas did for me was get rid of my fuel pump chirping.

Agreed. I've been running 87 E0 for the first time this week on my daily driver, and it does seem to feel smoother throughout and the chirping seems to be diminishing a bit. I've seen a solid 2mpg increase on my first tank (and I have a 30/70 blend of 87E10/87E0 in there now). Will continue to use the E0 station close to me for now, but may look into the additive since it's off brand fuel and likely doesn't have the detergents and such that are good for the engines.

modern vehicle are designed with components to handle ethanol. If you run your vehicle regularly, ethanol will not cause any problems. At 30¢ per gallon it will take a +2 mpg improvement to break even.

I've run E0 91 a few times (only E0 available near me) and I get ~2mpg better across the board. I haven't continued using it however because it's significantly more expensive. Almost $1 more per gallon here.

in a truck you drive daily don't worry about ethanol free fuel, now lawn mowers and such that don't get a tank ran out very often then use it. Ethanol when left alone for long periods can make rubber hoses harder and brittle.

I filled up my almost empty tank in Columbia Mo, drove back to St. Louis keeping it at 70 mph and got almost 3 mpg's more than the trip out.Paid about 22 cents more for it. By the way, 70 mph on interstate 70 is crazy, everybody passed me doing at least 80.

Takes a few tanks for the computer to adjust. You dont just throw some in and then see instant results. Myth not busted.

it took two full tanks for my computer milage to go up. Also you should do it the old fashion way as well. The computer might not be as accurate.

It all depends, the trucks computer learn how you drive and all that fun stuff, with out the ethanol you will get a cleaner burn, so more power more mpgs, thats my theory. I have no science to back it up I just have noticed how my own truck seems to have gone up since I started using it. For me the the 30 cents isnt not that much more as its the same price for regular in other towns. at .30 cents more around 18 gallons a fill up its 5 bucks more and gives me a piece of mind my engine is running better. No one has to buy if they do not want to. If you see no difference then thats you.

The only time I run ethanol free is for my carbureted motorcycles. It keeps them from gumming up so quickly. No reason to run ethanol free in an FI vehicle. You will get slightly better MPG, but the cost difference usually doesn't pay out.

    Corn gas @ 87 octane goes for $1.99 to $2.30 a gallon.

Non-corn-gas is at least $1.00 a gallon higher and I have seen it as high as $3.89 a gallon.

great meme, but i am paying .30 cents more. Regular gas with ethanol is 3.19 in the town I live in. I go to an other place and its 2.79 for ethanol free.

Not really true. Long term fuel trims take some time, but short term fuel trims are instant. STFT monitors the O2 sensor and adjusts real time in order to keep a 14.7:1 AFR (lambda of 1). When STFT is consistently high or low for a period of time, LTFT is incremented to lower the STFT correction. Not certain, but at higher throttle when the computer goes open loop...I think the LTFT tables are used....so in that case it may take a bit to adjust for a different fuel. I don't belive it's a tank of fuel though, but not sure on the Tacoma ECU specifically.

Ignition advance tables take a bit to update sometimes if the fuel you have been using was causing knock correction. Again, it depends on the ECU with regards to how aggressively it will add advance after a knock correction.
