Here’s my Kidd 10/22 build. It’s a full Kidd 10/22 with a single stage trigger with a victor titan stock with a Kidd tang. It’s the old green one, the black one is a volquartsen 17hmr.

Very cool! I’m in the market for a scope for my 10/22. Would you recommend yours? I would like to spend under $200

If you want to stay in that price range then a leupold vx-3i or vx freedom line. Stay at 3-9 power then you should be good to go.

The scope that’s on my green 10/22 is a leupold vx-5hd 3-15x44 which is about $1000 at sportsman. The other one on the black volquartsen is a vx-6hd 3-18x44 which is about $1800 at sportsman. So I don’t know if you want to go that high power and spend that much.

    The vx-3i 3.5-10x40 is good for a 10/22

Wheeew! That’s some good glass you got there. Thanks for the info. I’ll start shopping around for the vx-3i

Serious question from a non 22 build gun guy.

What are you shooting that requires 15x zoom and $1k of scope with a 10/22? I’ve spent cash on things that don’t make sense either, so I’m considering the X factor. But that’s a lot of zoom on a short range caliber.

It is a lot of glass for a 10/22 but I like to have the extra when I need to make positive id. Plus if I ever need to, then I can move it to a long range rifle if I want to.

I bought 550 rounds last week from Sportsman’s WH in Fairfield. I think it was .42 per round. They had a bunch but need to be there Thursday am’s and be prepared for an hour or so wait. Also picked up 9mm and .45

I think Wednesday nite so stocked by Thursday am. I have been able to get at normal prices there instead of the mark ups I have seen at smaller shops. They have had 5.56 consistently though in 450 to 550 bulk ( haven’t seen 1000) and I look every Thursday though don’t always buy anything

I saw boxes American Eagle of 20 for $12 this morning at sportsman's Brentwood. Might still be there now given their 2 box limit.

Did some shooting this weekend. The new .22 Henry lever action I got from my ole’ man a few months ago is an incredible gun. Definitely going to get a small scope for it. It’s incredibly accurate “out of the box” but definitely would be better with a scope.
